Well, I do not check this place as often as I wish but unfortunately it seems to be impossible to me to keep up with that.
The past week I have been working crazy hours at a restaurant because I am desperately in need of some bucks. I realized getting a job might be the best resolution to earn money and get a bit closer to my aim. Aim, what aim you might think now?
The time has come to finally make a decision on what to do in my future. I was groping in the dark for a really long time and could not find anything that would fulfill my wishes and make me happy - until I decided attending a professional art and photography university (so to speak) would be the best solution. Later I might go to Lufthansa and work as a flight attendant but for now I have to have a graduation. Next year I will have the abitur, which is the german higher education entrance qualification ... and hopefully it will not be a half assed one.

Anyhow, for this art school (it is one of the bests world wide) I need a really good portfolio which has to cover a wide range of different subjects. Right now I am concentrating on the animal anatomy - generally speaking - animal character design. My boyfriend got me a good book to study the anatomy which was done by one of the greatest animators worldwide.
To keep on studying I need a lot more stuff though. Unfortunately these books can not be purchased in germany and either I have to get them from the States or Australia ( + almost $45 for shipping ), which just sucks. So now I am asking you:
1. Is there any place on the internet where I can publish my work and possibly get commissioned?
2. Anyone at this place interested in commissioning me? (I absolutely dislike coming to deviantart and discussing these things in my journal but for now my future is really important and the basics need to there)
3. I still have that Wacom Intuos tablet for sale! Anyone interested? (I mentioned it in my last journal and got a couple of notes but none of those people actually replied. That's a shame and just chickenshit - excuse my french please but such things upset me a lot. If you don't want it - don't send me any notes. Thanks.)

I am willing to lower my prices but please try to understand I can not take $25 for a A4 sized detailed head portrait with a background ... that's just impossible if you take into consideration how much work and time flows into such a drawing.
